We are looking for candidates for the position of Estimator working out of our Corporate office location in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
The objective of this position is to be responsible for performing all activities associated with costing, estimating, pricing, maintenance of estimating related programs, and cost analysis of residential homes.
This is an entry-level position and we are willing to train the right candidate.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Communicate with trade partners and oversee cost codes
Prepare detailed estimates and purchase orders for all product in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy
Utilize estimating software to verify take-offs and resolve disputes
Update and maintain bid pricing from all vendors
Establish working relationships with vendors/subcontractors to enhance effective communication
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to read bidsets, architectural plans as well as construct cost estimates
Understand construction means and methods
Experience conducting bid analysis a plus
Strong data processing computer skills to include Excel and Word (Access preferred)
Analytical, detail-minded, team oriented and a good communicator (internal and external customers)
A visual learner with strong organizational skills
Self-motivated to be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
A problem solver who can take ownership of projects
Requirements:
College degree in Construction, Accounting or related field
Basic knowledge of residential construction
Experience working in a construction related capacity a real plus!
Prior experience with JD Edwards, Auto CAD, and/or On-Screen Takeoff a real plus!
The schedule of this position will be Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM plus additional hours as necessary.
Excellent hourly rate, bonus potential plus a comprehensive benefits package including profit sharing and 401(k) plans.
