Interesting DESIGNER / DRAFTER opportunity at a well respected manufacturing firm near Lexington, KY. Temp to Perm opportunity requiring proficiency in Solidworks in a manufacturing environment including with thin gage steel products and an AS Degree related to design/Drafting or a Solidworks coursework and certification. Prefer local candidates, may consider relocation.
Responsibilities for the Designer
Perform drafting/design to support sheet metal and cast fabrications
Create single part models / drawings for sheet metal, cast and other miscellaneous materials considering manufacturability and input from manufacturing engineering
Create 3-D assemblies and corresponding drawings for review with Engineering Supervisor based on input from Engineering Lab team
Input bill of material information into our corporate software, release and coordinate prototype requests to the manufacturing team, create Engineering change releases / notices
Requirements for the Designer
AS Degree related to design/Drafting OR Solidworks accredited course certificate.
Minimum 3 to 5 year experience with Solidworks in a manufacturing environment with thin gage steel products
A PLUS to have experience with (a) bill of material software or (b) metal fabrication
Need working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Pay rate in range shown based on qualifications and Solidworks skill level, extent of related manufacturing experience and extent of 'a plus' skills listed above, and education
Contractor Benefits during contract phase and Comprehensive Benefits when transitioned to Direct Hire
